SUNSUN XBL Series Hang-On External Filter (XBL-300/400/500/600) — Overview

The SUNSUN XBL is a compact hang-on-back (HOB) external filter that clamps onto the rim of an open-top aquarium and delivers powerful multi-stage filtration plus strong water circulation. It comes ready with sponge and activated-carbon media and can be upgraded with ceramic rings, bio-balls or fine filter wool for maximum mechanical, chemical and biological filtration. A magnetic-rotor motor keeps it quiet, an adjustable flow control tunes the current, and the included rain/spray bar and surface skimmer keep the water oxygenated and free of surface film. Four sizes cover tanks up to 30, 40, 50 and 60 cm.

Installation & Maintenance

Clamp the filter onto the tank rim (glass up to 1.8 cm), fit the inlet pipe and rain bar / skimmer, prime and switch on. Adjust the flow knob to suit your livestock. For cleaning, remove the inlet/outlet and rinse the media (rinse biological media in old tank water to protect bacteria).
