How It Works

Zeolite's crystalline structure carries exchangeable ions that swap for ammonium ions in the water, effectively trapping ammonia. Place it in the chemical-filtration stage of your filter. Note that zeolite gradually becomes "full"; it can be partly recharged by soaking in a strong salt solution, or simply replaced. It is intended primarily for freshwater use.
