How to Use

Rinse the rings in old tank or dechlorinated water, then place them in the biological stage of your filter (after mechanical media). Use enough media for your tank volume. When cleaning, rinse gently in old tank water — never under hot or chlorinated tap water — to protect the bacterial colony.

Replace only a portion of the rings at a time so the biological filter is never fully reset. Rinse occasionally to clear trapped debris that could restrict flow.
