Jbl florapol nutrient concentrate is a 700-gram package of long-term substrate fertilizer designed to be mixed into the bottom gravel layer during aquarium setup. This concentrated nutrient mix provides essential iron, trace elements, and minerals directly in the root zone where aquatic plants need them most. Unlike liquid fertilizers that dose the water column, Florapol works from below, feeding plant roots continuously for up to three years without water contamination or algae-promoting nutrient excess. The foundation fertilizer for planted aquariums. Available at TaraPet, the UAE’s trusted online pet store.

JBL developed Florapol as a set-and-forget substrate fertilizer that provides years of root-zone nutrition when installed during initial aquarium setup.

The jbl florapol nutrient concentrate provides sustained nutrient release for up to three years after installation. This long-term duration means no substrate replacement or re-dosing is needed for years of healthy plant growth.

Nutrients are delivered directly to plant roots in the substrate where uptake is most efficient. Root-zone feeding avoids the water column nutrient excess that promotes unwanted algae growth in planted aquariums.

The concentrate contains high levels of bioavailable iron essential for chlorophyll production and healthy green coloration in aquatic plants. Iron deficiency causes yellowing leaves, and Florapol prevents this from the start.

Essential micronutrients including manganese, zinc, boron, and molybdenum are included in the formula. These trace elements support diverse metabolic processes in plants that macro fertilizers alone cannot provide.

Mix the jbl florapol nutrient concentrate into the bottom third of your gravel bed during initial aquarium setup. Cover with plain gravel on top. The nutrients remain trapped in the lower layer accessible only to plant roots.

Unlike liquid fertilizers, Florapol nutrients stay locked in the substrate layer. This prevents excess nutrients from dissolving into the water column where they would fuel algae blooms instead of plant growth.

Seven hundred grams covers aquariums up to approximately 200 liters with proper substrate depth. One package provides adequate nutrient concentration for medium-sized planted community and display aquariums.

By keeping nutrients in the substrate rather than the water, Florapol reduces the dissolved nutrient levels that trigger algae outbreaks. Plants access nutrients at the root while algae in the water column are starved.

The three-year duration makes the jbl florapol nutrient concentrate extremely cost-effective compared to monthly liquid fertilizer purchases. One-time installation cost replaces years of ongoing fertilizer expenses.

Heavy root-feeding plants like cryptocoryne species benefit enormously from substrate-based nutrition. Florapol provides the root-zone iron and nutrients these popular aquarium plants depend on for lush healthy growth.

Amazon sword plants and other echinodorus species develop extensive root systems that feed primarily from the substrate. The concentrated nutrient base fuels the impressive leaf production these large plants are known for.

Vallisneria species spread through runners in the substrate, establishing new plants that immediately access the nutrient-rich lower layer. Florapol supports rapid colonization and healthy runner development.

Use with any standard aquarium gravel including JBL Manado, Sansibar, or plain gravel. The concentrate mixes into existing gravel without requiring specialized substrate products.

JBL formulates Florapol in Germany with precise nutrient ratios optimized for aquatic plant requirements. Verified composition and long-term release properties are confirmed in every batch produced.

UAE planted tank enthusiasts need reliable long-term substrate nutrition. The jbl florapol nutrient concentrate provides years of root-zone feeding for UAE aquarists building lasting planted displays.
